find escape in your eyes

Read this before last year :-)

Today was alright I guess! Chinese in the morning was really hilarious because although we spent the lesson going through the paper 2 we did on Monday (which I did relatively well for, I'm super encouraged ok i've been doing quite well for p2 chinese recently, I think I can do paper 2 la yayyyyy my chinese is not hopeless!), spent half the lesson laughing like crazy because we were passing notes about really weird things HAHA, Cris, Jiayi, Megs & I, about, uhm, hair and Cristina's PENGUIN HAHAHA. Also, when Laoshi left the class to alter some of our classmates' marks, Megs & I stood by the window that overlooked the sports complex area thereabouts where the Sec 1s were leaving for their ROCs1 and we stared at them HAHAHA. Being weird. Mrs Lau walks past too and says we're stalking them HAHAHA. Did some more rubbish before laoshi came back. yeah la too full of rubbish that we CAN'T CONTAIN IT!

Mmmmh, recess tralalala i am quite the horrible person HAHAHA I think so. Anyway, talked about it to Mrs Lau about it, gg to try and see how it works :) As i was telling her, its really hard to love the people we don't exactly like. Hmmm :( OH WELL.

Chem was idk funny we just spent the entire lesson copying stuff for Skill 3. Copy copy copy I am creeped by her just because I did a countdown to Os and all on my diary she thinks I'm some idk anyway. We didn't learn much which was good because I don't understand alkanes & alkenes exactly how to go on to alcohols and carboxylic acids you tell me. I need to revise chem I love chem and all but organic chem might actually kill me. oh well, we shall see I CAN DO THIS :)

Class board games time which was essentially going damn high in class HAHAHA. We didn't exactly play board games, but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. It was really fun, laughed so so hard HAHAH. Megs was putting on some rock concert for jiayi, andreawong, cris & I. Yup but it was a good time because it was a hilarious time, :') my friends are so lovely, they always make me happy :-)

BIO hahaha I do like bio :-) Mrs Liow did Skill 3 practices with us too, all our science teachers are going all out for our skill 3. Aaaah ok i love science, I know I'm a science person.

Lunch (I ate a hashbrown, can't grow fat, well can I) with Reenah grace huilin was really funny too! Idk today was generally a really funny day, so yup talked and stuff and I think I was being really weird so I made everything seem really weird and funny. It was a good time anyhows :-) Headed up to our usual spot with grace, where we made cards and came up with our grand plan :)))) Really admire&respect the teachers in MG, they really do give their all for us, sometimes no matter what happens/has happened to them, love them. Grace spent the entire afternoon conflicted, so hmmmm I was just being weird and trying to help her I think? :P

Sigh a little apprehensive about DSA-ing now. I shall go pray more about it and hope for the best :')

Came home, had a cake-cutting session for my brother, his birthday's tomorrow ooohersssss. texted which was nice, felt a little better after telling stuffssss :-) attempted to do some english before playing scramble like crazy and coming on to do my personal statements WHICH BTW I HAVE FINISHED ok time to look for verses + QT now! :-) GOODNIGHT ALL

(haaaayyyy gurl)

/I'm reading this now/ aaaahhh I'm really liking the book, it keeps you reading and its really sweet, and Nicholas Sparks can write from different perspectives/thinkings really well.

Lots to blog about for crazy Saturday + today I guess! :-)

Woke up really bright and early on Saturday to meet Grace at 7.45 at the MG bus stop! Level 1: ACSI Open House. Went to AC OH with Grace & Char, and the first bit was embarrassing because we went over to the side meant for Primary 6s :P But then we found our way to the Year 5-6 side soon enough! Visited their subject booths, it was really interesting :-) I think I would like to join AC (if I can. I sincerely hope I can) after this year, everything sounds so interesting and the teachers seem really nice :-) We made a point to visit nearly every single subject booth, and upon visiting the history one, I made a mental note to tell Ms Koh they did China History in year 6 heehee. All in all I thought it was a really enlightening time there!!!!!!

Left for MG at about 9.20, because our shift was at 10.30! Had red bowl noodles in school with Grace heehee, so glad the school canteen was open, made things really convenient :-) Level 2: MG Open House. After eating, we decided to visit the hall for a bit, walked around and took a polaroid before we left :-)
sec 4s + our wonderful year head :')
Nik bb + me doing the Nik face :-)

Had a briefing in the conference room by Ms Ng next. Decided we didn't really wanna do the Bio booth again, and Ms Ng agreed and looked for Sec 3s to fill our places instead. Hahaha, Ms Ng's really nice to us :') HAHAHA ok so we ended up doing registration for the first hour. It was boring stuff, but it was alright! It was nice talking to random people, well sort of!
Ms Ng decided she needed more people down for student guides, so Grace & I were relieved of our registration duties, and hence we became student guides! Okay it was really scary at first, led the group of people I was taking to the hall first. Then I kind of lost half of them........... UHM HAHAHA so freaked out to Mrs Lau a bit, and she goes ITS ALRIGHT HAHA yeah so I just brought the four people I had left. They were really nice people so it wasn't that bad! Went to the labs after the hall because they didn't want to go for the lesson experience, which was alright :-) Time in the lab was good because i just hung around with Ayn, talking as the parents and girls did like every hands on thing there was in the science lab. It was a really good time talking, about lots of things! Saturday was good because I got to talk to Ayn a lot more and got to kind of know more Sec 3 SLs, they're a really friendly + cute bunch :-)
Went up to the hall, just in time to take a last look at the SL board before it was time to take it down!

its so pretty + I love our tower thing.

HAHAHA :')
best year head, worst eyebags. HAHAHA. sml

I thank God because I just had so much joy doing open house for MG, I think everyone should go to MG in my humble opinion because at nowhere else will you find a better environment + better teachers. I really do love MG and its been lovely having been here for the last 3+ years, I can't imagine leaving just like that :'(

Level 3: CHURCHHHH ♡
After helping (a little) to pack up, had to leave school to get to church! It was so so so hot okay :'( anyway, fell asleep on the bus to church! PLUS I WAS SO SMELLY (i think, I hope i wasn't thaaat smelly. But i was sweating quite a bit because of the horrendous weather) so the first thing I did when I got to church was to spam deo..... HAHAH...... Whattodo.
Worship was gooooood as usual, it just felt super nice to be able to praise God, especially after all that He has blessed me with this week. :') With lots and lots of joy and also with relatively good mid year results. LOVE GOD SO MUCH and so it was a very good time, as church services always are. Message was good too, mainly about having the heart and the willingness to serve for God and let God work through you to serve others for Him. Mmmmh :-) ♡

Changed right after service, squeezed in Uncle Chor Pang's car with Heidi Val Liangle Ryanny Matt HAHAHA. Level 4: VJ Dance Concert. It was squeezy so I ended up sitting on Heidi's lap. The car ride was really really funny, and ECP kind of jammed rather badly but that was okay. Ordering from the drive thru was really hilarious and we eventually all got to VJ for Kristel's performance, even though we had to rush through our dinner (Burger King mmmmmh + FATS)
Sat in the gallery between Heidi & Liangle and the audi was FREEZING like oh my goodness it was so cold, tried sharing my cardigan with Heidi! But otherwise, the dancers were soooooo goooood :-) I'm just like looking at them and thinking "I'll never be able to dance like that in my LIFE" They were so good, so yay the concert was really really good!  Even though i was pretty tired by then, :') GOOD JOB KRISSYPOO + VJ DANCERS I had a really good night :-)

Took a picture with all of them before Liangle & I left. It as like 10.30 by the time we left VJ. going home for the both of us (we both live in the same area YAY) was literally travelling from the east to the west of singapore. First we had to take a bus to Paya lebar MRT, and then we rode the entire green line back to Jurong east, and finally we changed train and took one final stop back to Bukit Batok. By the time I reached home it was nearly 12, but I really thank God for keeping us safe especially when it was so late. Fell asleep on the MRT heehee. OH YES THANK GOD THE MRT DIDN'T BREAK DOWN. I constantly have this irrational fear that the MRTs will break down.
Bathed and went to bed THAT WAS THE END OF A CRAZY CRAZY SATURDAY. SATURDAY: ALL 4 LEVELS COMPLETE :-)

Made a lot of progress reading The Lucky One today!

Super beautiful lovemg2012 sticker

Today was alright, I guess. Apart from watching all the other levels go out and have fun while we had to sit for a 2 hour Chinese paper, it truly sucks to be Sec 4. So desperate for someone to kidnap me to Ubin THAT'S RIGHT I would rather have gone back to OBS (even though the thought of it still makes me shudder a liiiiittle).

~*Memories of OBS flooding back*~

I can't believe its been a year since we've been there. I wonder how much has changed. I remember cooking in the dark, being affected by a lightning splash, having the best sleep ever on night 2 because it was raining and cold, trekking and singing to keep our spirits up, kayaking until my arms nearly broke off, being persuaded to go for the Jetty Jump (which by the way, if I have not already said this, would probably be what one would feel like had one attempted suicide by jumping off a building) I remember missing a lot of things, HAHA. Who wouldn't right?
I wonder how the Sec 3s are doing. I wonder if they're ok, which I hope they are! And that they're surviving fine. Confession time: I cried on the first night of OBS because I couldn't get used to it. But every day after that was fine :-) I guess it takes some getting used to because its a completely different environment.

anyway, we received our A Math & Physics today. Really pleased with Physics, especially for a paper that I half-whacked hehe. I have concluded, after today, that I am truly a science person. Ok my history this time wasn't that bad too. Jack of all trades but master of none? LESIGH OK HAHA too early to tell! A Math was not good, but I sort of expected it because I knew I screwed it up, so I already prepared myself for the worst HAHAH. Still, thank God for everything, for providing me with peace and joy as we received our last two papers today :')

Probably staying back tomorrow with Grace. I really have nothing to do HAHAHA. Okay I shall try to make proper use of my time instead of slacking around everywhere. Maybe I'll start by packing my exploding shelf tomorrow night. Hmmmm.

Spent the entire of today not doing much. I am such a slacker ok anyway. I'm getting sleepy so I'm going to sleep soon? :-) hahahaha. YAY finally blogged!

half of my heart

Lalalalala dum dum dum.

I think I'll self combust in rage tomorrow when they are going through the lit paper because I'm already quite pissed. Whatever we shall see what happens tomorrow. I'll have a lot to say, definitely. GOD GIVE ME CONTROL OVER MY RAGE BECAUSE RAGE IS BAD.

Anyway, today was a rather good day. God gave me lots of joy like I prayed for, so yay! I pray for a lot more joy tomorrow, seeing as how I have pre-empted my rage. I cannot mess up my lit NEVER.

Had a post secondary talk from Mrs Sim, and I was really considering applying for DSA through academics + leadership to ACSI, and yeah I was thinking about going for As/IB. Hmmmm. Can't imagine leaving MG though, I really love the place like crazy. So it was pretty insightful (: I hope I do well for the rest of my mid year papers, otherwise I don't stand a chance DSA-ing to ANYWHERE.

Chinese was the first paper we got back today. Did pretty well for my gong han, but I flunked my bzbd SO BAD because I totally veered off topic. So I got like 22 (out of 70 which is the equivalent of a train wreck HAHA but I just laughed it off......) But I was so thankful that I did (exceedingly) well for my paper 2, and it saved my ass big time. I got a B4 for Chinese in the end, which was a true blessing because I really didn't know what was going on for the chinese exam and was just all......... THANK GOD SO MUCH (': First B in chinese since........ forever. I think I'm freed from any Cs this time round, which is good (':

Laoshi told us we would be watching a movie for chinese tomorrow #YAY! but from next week on, we would be doing intense Chinese papers ): Grr ok, at least they're giving us a day off! (: I wonder what movie we're watching tomorrow though, hopefully the people don't talk rlyrly fast, otherwise I doubt i'd be able to understand HAHA.

Chem paper! Gave me heart attacks. Prayed before they returned us the paper that God would give me joy and assurance even if I didn't do as well. Truthfully, I didn't meet my personal expectations, but I had 'good's and 'v. good's over my paper, and I think it was considered a good score, so I was content. Despite the careless mistakes I think God gave me the acceptance towards them so (: The teachers went through the paper and I learnt quite a bit of stuff! So that was good, and yes.

Recess was cooool, talked about JC/ACSI/Mid year results. Yupppp. Discussing. Aiyah hmmm I'll really miss MG. That was the recurring thought.

History :-) I did well for the Hitler question and I thanked God so so so much because I remembered my hitler facts and I actually did well for the question. + Mrs Chen marked it in pink teehee pink HAAHAH ANYWAY that was ultra bimbo. SEA, studied really hard for independence and did well for the independence question, was really heartened and was all YAY. But I didn't do well for the question that I memorized for idk why ): But oh well, overall, I did relatively good for History PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!! God is so amazingggggggg all of the time! As Mrs Ng said, when we do well, all glory goes to God because He is so amazing! (:

Had a talk by AC(SI) to wrap up the day, and I think I made my decision. I'm going to try DSA-ing to AC. & if its not successful, I'm going to work hard and go there through my O level results. Also, I found out today that (from what it seemed) the teacher support system in AC is super super good + methodist school culture + they don't do lectures, they teach classroom style, like in Secondary school. I would really like that. + Higher Chinese girls do actually need to get 3 points to secure a place there, so I really really really do want to try it out (: Going to pray about it tonight, hope God gives me a direction!!!!!

Headed to Starbuxxxx @ ION after school and sat and talked and had a caramel frap with Liz, Stace & Nicole (: It was a good time catching up hahaha and sharing! + dinner later, it was a nice time just talking about school and all + all the good food and drinks heeheheh. I hope I don't grow fat today I think I ate a lot OOPS HAHAHA. Had a nice time talking to liz + texting on the way home (: I like the free time I have now once Mid years ended.

I shall go off soon to watch The Voice + prep for Open House tomorrow, MG is the best honestly. :') Bio + E Math + Chinese movie + Lit tomorrow HAHAHAHA quite excited tbh, just hope I can control my ultimate angst for lit tomorrow though! GOD GRANT ME JOY AND JOY ABUNDANTLY & know that Your plans are to prosper me and not to harm me :')

or at least, I think I'm trying.

So a run down of the day before I start, uhm, the second part of this post!

Canteen with grace in the morning as usual, talking. Felt good to not have to do any work :-) For once. Still can't believe Mid years are over, and that the year'll just get ten times more intense after the June holidays. Okay anyway so, wet weather assemblyyyy (which I used to not like, but being Sec 4, nearly everything's just conveniently on the first level so HAHA)

She kept us in class until Ms Kek had to come down and call us to tell her to let us go up to go through our SS papers, because the rest of the cohort's waiting for us -____-. She was trying to guilt us into helping her for chem open house, blackmailing us with our testimonials. Typical. Anyway.

SS papers first! Ms Koh went through the questions she marked, and then returned us our papers. Then for the rest of the session I kind of zoned out because I didn't understand what Mr Goh was talking about. You see, I didn't study anything but Venice. Self-explanatory heh. SS wasn't thaaaat badly done. I mean, Ms Koh marked my essay and under Ms Koh standards, I did fairly well :-) For SBQ, Mrs Raj didn't mark an entire question because I wrote the wrong source letter ): grrrr. I asked Ms Koh if I went to fight for it, would Mrs Raj mark it for me, and she said that she most probably would. But after a while I'm just like aaaah, its ok, its just mid years, and its my fault anyway, so no point. Yuuup. :-)
Can't say I'm disappointed with my SS, I'm not really thaaat disappointed. I'm quite happy, tbh. I mean, for a subject that is rather content based, I started the day before the actual exam, so I think I deserved what I got, however low it may seem. :-) + I didn't get killed by Ms Koh's marking so :-) Things to be thankful for! :-) And my Lit will always be there to pull my combined up (I hope, my lit usually does not let me down, hehhh)

English! Got back our compres first, and subsequently Mrs Ong went through them. I was rather disappointed because on the whole, I score better for compre than summary. So looking at my compre, I was quite sure that I flunked english. But thank God my summary was much much much better than expected, so yaaay (: We got our compos back next. Wrote off topic (a little. I wrote about my brother, the topic was brotherS) so I'm pretty sure I got marked down for that. But otherwise, I did alright for a compo that I went slightly off topic for, so thankful again! :-) And my situational was well done, so thankful thankful thankful! :-) got a B3 in the end, but it wasn't a marginal B3, yuuup, THANK GOD SO MUCH (': because most of us didn't do as well as we expected to.

Recess with the usual recess crew, I think we were just kind of discussing our papers? Hahah! Oh well. I think I was quite content with the stuff we got back in the morning. Expected, or better than expected (: Went back to class and gathered our things before going to go through our Chinese paper!

We sat allllll the way at the back of the LT. We were in LT2, so I told Loui & Jiayi the ~LT2 incident~ that happened in Sec 2 with Mrs Lau & Liz, hahaha it was soooo nice to remember those happy times (: So yup going through Chinese was 5% actually listening to what the laoshis were saying, 95% laughing/trying to surpress our laughter HAHAHAHA. Megs was being ultra restless the entire session, and both Jiayi & her began doodling all over my question paperrrrr. Megs has also found her new favourite face HAHAHAHA. it was really really funny and I didn't really listen to what they were saying haha oops i feel kinda bad........ Apparently I wrote the question that was the worst attempted in zhu laoshi's history of marking HAHAHA. She said she gave a few people 8......................................... OUT OF 70. Aiyah I hope laoshi wasn't lying to me when he told me I passed, else I'll be pretty angry HAHAHA and disappointed. But oh well, we'll see tomorrow! (yeahhh, they didn't return us our scripts HAHA)

PROFILINGGGG. We did our DISC profiling again! I used to be an IS (about a year or two ago!) and now I'm an ISC. HAHA not thaaat much of a difference, but C HAS COME UP. HEEHEE I think its quite interesting! As for the job profiling thing, my numbers were pretty balanced for each column (jack of all trades but master of none LESIGHS HAHAHA) okay so that was rather interesting, I like doing surveys (:
We were briefed on our NE quiz which sounded a bit scary i mean if you fail you can't sit for your Os HAHAHA. But it was a short briefing and we returned to class. Hung around a little and talked to the guides before they went for CCA, and then read a bit, talked to Cristina & Andrea W & read a little bit more, before heading home.

I have done absolutely nothing today. I WATCHED TV THOUGH. America's Got Talent (: I thought today's episode was really heartwarming! There was an epileptic boy who did indoor kite flying (ha ha ha ha fly kite ha ha ha ha HAHAHAHA I think only you might understand this) but it was sooooo cool okay and the judges were really touched by it (': and so they let him through (': YAY. And then there was this 75 year old woman who did hand whistling HAHA I THOUGHT IT WAS SUPER CUTE and she had a really nice personality like, really funny & stuff and it was so sweet ok she wrote a book about her hand whilstling and one of the judges bought it from her (': OK ANYWAY ah yup. And then I read the Lucky One.

Really jittery for the papers we're getting back tomorrow, sigh! But as Mrs Lau says, just take it as it comes sooooo CHEM AND HISTORY (and CHINESE) LETS GOOOOOO! Hahaha, I think I'll sleep soon. It feels good to have so many pockets of free time hehehe.

HAHAHAHA this reminds me of Mrs Lau HAHAHAHA.

Mid years are over :-) I think the only tell-tale sign that mid years are over is that I now have absolutely nothing to do HAHAHA. Not absolutely nothing, but something along those lines. Anyway so a list of things I want/need to do now that mid years have ended:

1. Read the Lucky One + watch the movie (although Jess said she heard the ending wasn't very good. Moo :( )
2. Watch Chronicle
3. Watch the Avengers
4. I really want to go for Christina Perri's concert, but unfortunately its 118 bux, and even if I can get the money, my parents would never allow me to spend 118 bux on a concert (they didn't even let me go for Wicked even though I'd pay for it all myself grr)
5. Read Lone Wolf.
6. Read The Perks of Being a Wallflower (21 SEPTEMBER I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DAY SINCE UHM AFTER I READ TPOBAW AND HEARD THAT THERE WOULD BE A MOVIE ADAPTATION WITH EMMA WATSON AND LOGAN LERMAN *squeal*) / Looking for Alaska again.
7. Memorise, or as Ms Ng likes to put it, ~*internalize*~ all the MG Open House material for Friday & Saturday, tbh its really exciting :-) I would gladly sell MG because I love it so much, its an amazing place with the most amazing people :*
8. SOMETHING.

Mmmmh I think that's all? Hahaha. Rn I'm listening to covers on youtube, so so so much free time now and it feels good! SS + English + Chinese papers tomorrow, I don't want to get them back tbhhhh. Okay I know I passed Chinese because I asked laoshi, but I don't think I'm ready to get all my papers back. Hmmm. We'll see :-) If I don't do well then, uhm, too bad I guess because I think I studied hard enough? Anyway God always makes things right so (:

I shall go write my post-Mid years letter (-:

mid-mid years

"this too shall pass" ♡

:')

I haven't blogged since forever hiiiii!

Uhm yeah so mid years have commenced and we're nearly done! 4 more papers, the 4 papers being Physics 1 & 2, Chem 1 & Bio 1, to go and we're done with mid years! (!!!!) We shall be freed from the never ending cycle of school - study - sleep (late). For the time being, because really, mid years is just the beginning but I shall not think about what is to follow just yet! :-)

The papers that have passed are quite, uhm, well. A Math was a real challenge, and I'm really upset because usually I can do all those questions in class & as homework, but when it comes to the exams I'm just like huh :-( Ok but nothing I can do about A Math now! And I think my Chem..... Oh dear ok the paper was hard, but I still don't want to do badly, best subject :-( But the mugger subjects went really well, God was really really good to me because Venice came out for SS, the lit essay question that I spotted about the Sealand woman came out exactly, SEA History & Bio were managable because everything I studied for came out and I was really happy about that. The history teachers decided to troll us for Modern World because all 3 SEQs came out from the theme on LON/TOV + Authoritarian and the poor people who studied WWII & Cold War were all really stunned HAHAHA, but I really do thank God because I could remember all my Hitler facts well enough to do the Hitler question, even though I haven't touched hitler since about 3 weeks ago? yup :-) super thankful, else I wouldn't have been able to do the question!

Yup so must really really thank God for bringing me through the exams because I thought I would have died by the end of this week, what with this week consisting of all the heavy papers + Prince for locking my twitter because my productivity level like tripled HAHAHAHA (I haven't changed my password back because its 2qt AHAHA) + you for always being so encouraging (':

So my days have consisted of sitting for a paper in the morning, skipping recess to study for the next paper if I have a second paper at about 11ish, having lunch with Grace afterwards before going up to our study site outside the staff room to study HAHAHA. Its been fun la, studying outside the staffroom. Good company + I love our teachers in MG no kidding, they're the best bunch. <3 Forever venting about my papers to Laoshi (Chen laoshi heehee) and she's super amusing HAHA. Or today, telling Ms Koh about OBS HAHAHA and history angsting. Or how Grace thinks Mrs Lau looks like a ~*pink smurf*~ HAHAHAHAHA. Love them (': okies okies i think i need to brush up on my physics this weekend. + the 2 hours of chinese daily after mid years end is NO JOKE OK. I really don't want 2 hours of chinese a day because I think I might die. DIE. Okay. uh. Spent tonight doing slides like the nerd I am omg ok. HAHAH

I'm running out of things to say. Honestly, although it has been a tiring week, it has been rather good? I'm not sure. I'm really glad that God has blessed me with more joy recently, (: and how i think everything has been working out fine? I really do hope so. I can't wait for church tomorrow, favourite time of the week by far (': Best (& only) God ever ever ever ever + amazing people, ok
